Frequently asked questions
Quick answers on how we work, what's included, and how to get started.
Why get your oil changed at home?
Because your time is the most important. A normal oil change quietly takes a piece of your day: the drive over, the wait, the uncertainty. We come to you instead, and the owner is the one who shows up and does the change himself, so your morning and your plans stay yours while your vehicle gets exactly what it needs.
How often should I change my oil?
Most modern vehicles on full-synthetic oil do well every 5,000 to 7,500 miles, or about every 6 months, whichever comes first. Heat, towing, and lots of short trips can shorten that. Tell us your vehicle and how you drive and we'll recommend a cadence.
What if I can't find my VIN or don't know my oil?
No problem. You can scan your VIN with your phone's camera right in the booking form, type it in, or pick your year, make, and model from the dropdowns. The VIN lets us bring the exact oil and filters, but we can sort it out either way. Book and we'll confirm the details.
Do I need to be home, or can I leave my keys?
Not always. As long as we can reach the vehicle and have a little room to work, we can do the change. Plenty of clients leave the keys or the vehicle unlocked and never break from their day, and we'll sort the details when we confirm.
Can you do my oil change at work?
Absolutely. We'll come to your office lot or job site and do the change while you work, so your day never stops. Two things to check first: make sure your employer or property manager is okay with on-site service, since some lots and business parks need a heads-up, and that there's a flat, open spot with a little room to work, not a tight covered garage. We come ready to work clean with mats and a sealed drain pan so nothing touches the pavement, and you don't even need to be at the vehicle.
How long does it take, and what do I need to do?
Most oil changes take about an hour or so depending on your vehicle. On your end, all we need is a flat spot to park and a little room to work. You're free to go about your day while we take care of it.
How do you keep my driveway or garage clean?
We come prepared to work clean. We lay down mats and catch every drop in a sealed drain pan, then take the used oil and filters with us when we leave. We put your space back the way we found it, and we vacuum your vehicle before we go.
Is it safe to lift my vehicle at home?
Yes. We work off heavy-duty drive-on ramps rated well above your vehicle's weight, which keeps the vehicle on a solid, stable base the entire time. Everything we touch goes back to the manufacturer's torque before we leave. We're adding hydraulic lifts soon to make the job even smoother.
What oil and filters do you use?
Full-synthetic oil in the exact viscosity and capacity your vehicle calls for, plus a new oil filter with every change. We also check your engine and cabin air filters each visit and replace them when they're due, matched to your vehicle from the VIN. You never pay for a filter you don't need.
How much does it cost?
Standard vehicles start at $140, with one straight, all-in price confirmed from your VIN or vehicle details before we head out. Bigger, premium, and diesel vehicles take more oil and different filters, so they run a bit more. Plan members lock in a lower per-change rate. Our pricing page has the full breakdown.
Do you offer other services?
For now, oil & filter changes are our focus and we do them right. We do have plans to add services like tire rotations down the road, so keep an eye out for more.
Do you service trucks, diesels, or fleets?
Most of them, yes. Trucks and larger vehicles take more oil and bigger filters, and we price that upfront. For businesses with several vehicles, we build a custom on-site plan, pick Commercial / fleet when you book.
Do you service motorcycles?
Not yet, but it's on the horizon. For now we focus on sedans, trucks, SUVs, and vans. Motorcycle service is coming soon, so check back.
Which areas do you cover?
We're based in Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Paradise Valley, with no travel fee, and we're growing across The Valley. A little outside those? We can often still come out for a small travel fee, give us a call and ask.
